Brothers and Co‐workers of Virginia,

Hampton Roads Moose Legion 199 is a Moose Unit on a very important mission as of today. We are asking All the Chapters and Lodges in Virginia to help us help those in Lumberton, NC who are in dire need of basic essentials to live. Just turn on your T.V. and you can see bits and pieces of what a lot of good people are going through. These same people went through the same thing two years ago.

A lot of those families have lost everything and were still trying to recover when Hurricane Florence arrived. Just think if it had hit a mere 125 miles north we would be where they are now.

To make a long story short we need monetary donations (all amounts will be accepted) and things to fill a truck we are taking down to Lumberton N.C. All money donations should be made payable to Hyde Park Baptist Church in the memo section earmark your donation as storm relief. This Church is feeding 3000 thousands meals a day for on‐site distribution for individuals and families and are in serious need of our help. Churches are a 501c‐3 nonprofit and you can use your bingo funds for your donations. Plus this is a Community Service Project to go toward your Premier Award and to put on your Chapter's Form 114.

Hampton Roads Moose Legion 199's truck will bring the checks down to Hyde Park Baptist Church along with your item donations (see below of a list of what is needed). Mail your checks MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCTOBER 11, 2018 to Gary Jacobs, Secretary Hampton Roads Moose Legion 199, 5420 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, Va. 23462. If you have any questions please call, 757‐478‐4558 anytime.

All donations, no matter how big or how small will be noted with the donors name on a banner that we will hang from the truck. Time is critical; we are planning to take this truck down to them in approximately two weeks. Again please help us help them and remember it could have been us.

Wishing you the very best this Moose Year and our sincerest thank you for your donations.
