Virginia Moose Supports Safe Surfin'

Powatan Moose Lodge Governor Lenny Allese talks to parents about EZ Child ID Kits.

The Safe Surfin' Foundation is a leading organization in preventing children from being victimized by Internet predators.

Under the direction of Sheriff Mike Brown from Operation Blue Ridge Thunder (BRT), the Bedford County Sheriff's Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), Safe Surfin' has made its mark by educating parents, teachers, clergy, and children about Internet safety and has helped identify and lock up countless online predators.

Safe Surfin' has developed acclaimed programs for schools, police, houses of worship and any type of group in any type of setting to get them engaged in protecting children. In 2012, it is kicking into high-gear with launching multiple new initiatives and developing new technology to arm parents with the tools that they need to protect their kids from this quickly growing threat.

Safe Surfin's work has resulted in endorsements from law enforcement officials, elected officials, celebrities and like-minded organizations across the country.

Safe Surfin' airs public service announcements, holds special events and aggressively provides educational materials in every community possible. It works closely with the U.S. Department of Justice, local law enforcement, school systems, public libraries, houses of worship, and corporate sponsors to reach hundreds of thousands of people.

The Foundation is tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible. Your support will have immediate, far-reaching results!

And in 2007, the Supreme Council of the Loyal Order of Moose unanimously approved in October the partnership of Moose International with the Safe Surfin' Foundation.
