One of the tenants of the Moose is supporting Special Olympics. Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. We are helping to make the world a better, healthier, and more joyful place -- one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time. All lodges within the fraternity make regular volunteering and donations to this worthy organization.
On April 22nd, the Hampton Moose Lodge 1514 was recognized for its continuous support to Virginia Area 30 Special Olympics, and was award a plaque for its contributions. Included in the picture are 2nd Year Trustee Gary Adams, Hampton City Mayor Donnie Tuck, Administrator Ed Frankiewicz, Governor Mike Raiford, and some of the Olympians participating in the day’s event.
